Mallplaza Vespucio opens its doors in the municipality of La Florida, Santiago de Chile, our first shopping mall.
We are a unique platform of urban centers that allows major brands to establish themselves in the Andean region, making us an attractive vehicle for investors interested in developing markets.
With a presence in Chile, Peru and Colombia, Mallplaza’s urban centers were created with the conviction of improving the quality of life for people in areas far from the city center. Today, after over three decades and constant evolution, we continue to deliver places strategically located for social encounter with multiple visiting purposes and the constant incorporation of new and diverse uses.

We add new categories to the value proposition. Mallplaza Vespucio opens the first multiplex cinema in the country, in addition to a children’s play area.

Mallplaza arrives in the west of Chile’s capital with the opening of Mallplaza Oeste in the municipality of Cerrillos.

1995
We inaugurate the first urban center in one of Chile’s regions: Mallplaza Trébol, in the municipality of Talcahuano, Bio Bio Region. In addition, medical centers are incorporated into Mallplaza Vespucio.

1998
We open Mallplaza Tobalaba, the municipality of Puente Alto, Metropolitan Region, and Mallplaza La Serena in the Coquimbo Region.

2000
Mallplaza Oeste incorporates the first Autoplaza, an unprecedented automotive complex located in a shopping center.

2001
Mallplaza Vespucio continues to include new categories and formats such as entertainment, dining and culture.

2003
Mallplaza Los Ángeles opens its doors in the Bio Bio Region, while Mallplaza Norte does the same in the municipality of Huechuraba, Santiago de Chile.

2003
The DuocUC Professional Institute opens its doors in Mallplaza Vespucio, thus incorporating the first higher education proposition in a shopping center. In addition, the Terraces open in Mallplaza Norte and Mallplaza Vespucio, a new concept combining entertainment and dining.

2006
We arrive in Peru with Mallplaza Trujillo, in the city of Trujillo. Meanwhile, Mallplaza Antofagasta is inaugurated in a public-private partnership in northern Chile.

2008
Mallplaza Sur opens in the municipality of San Bernardo and Mallplaza Alameda in Estación Central, both in the Metropolitan Region of Chile. Mallplaza Bellavista installs itself in the El Callao area of Lima, Peru.

2009
Mallplaza makes its first incursion into the Chilean equity market with a successful corporate bond issue.

2012
Mallplaza arrives in Colombia with Mallplaza El Castillo in Cartagena de Indias. In Chile, we open Mallplaza Mirador Biobío the municipality of Concepción, Bio Bio Region.

2013
Mallplaza Egaña in the municipality of La Reina in the Metropolitan Region of Santiago de Chile becomes a milestone for the company as the country’s first sustainable shopping center, with LEED Gold certification.

Its entertainment proposition innovates with the country’s first IMAX theater and the new dining proposition The Rooftop, with 12 restaurants. Mallplaza Iquique is added in the Tarapacá Region, northern Chile.

2014
Mallplaza Oeste inaugurates a 3,500 ㎡ lagoon open to the public, while Mallplaza Copiapó opens its doors in northern Chile, the first mall-type shopping center in the Atacama Region.

2016
Mallplaza Arequipa opens its doors in Arequipa, Peru, the first of our urban centers in that country to obtain LEED certification.

2017
Mallplaza Los Dominicos is inaugurated in the municipality of Las Condes, Santiago.

2018
Plaza S.A. completes its launch on the Santiago Stock Exchange. Mallplaza Arica opens in the Arica and Parinacota Region, the country’s first Tax Free shopping center. Mallplaza Manizales is inaugurated in Colombia’s so-called “Coffee Belt.”

2019
Mallplaza Buenavista opens its doors in Barranquilla, Colombia. Mallplaza enters the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) of the New York Stock Exchange for the first time, in the Chile and MILA categories.

2020
Mallplaza materializes its arrival in Bogota through the purchase of the Calima shopping center, which was renamed Mallplaza NQS. Mallplaza Comas is inaugurated in northern Lima, Peru.

2021
Mallplaza drives its omnichannel proposition through initiatives such as Click & Collect, Pit Stop, Pide y Lleva and alliance with marketplaces.

The first stage of renewing Mallplaza Vespucio’s infrastructure and commercial offering is completed.

Measurement of the water footprint of three urban centers in Chile is completed (Mallplaza Antofagasta, Mallplaza Egaña and Mallplaza Trébol).
The company announces its commitment to carbon neutrality by 2030 and joins the Alliance for Climate Action (ACA Chile).

Our first omnichannel services began operating: Click & Collect, Pitstop and a partnership with Falabella.com.

We opened 600+ stores in Chile, Peru and Colombia.
We consolidated strategic partnerships with Ikea, Decathlon and H&M.

We opened new Click & Collect points and started implementing a free-flow system in our parking service.

We opened three new H&M stores in Chile: MallPlaza Tobalaba, Mallplaza Egaña and Mallplaza Arica, with the aim being to have 19 stores at the regional level.
We opened Movistar Game Club in Mallplaza Trébol, making it the epicenter of video games.

We inaugurated “La Factoría” in Mallplaza Vespucio, a hall with a unique and innovative dining experience.

We inaugurated Mallplaza Cali in Colombia, our fifth urban center in the country.

MallPlaza Vespucio consolidated itself as the largest urban center in Chile, with the most complete value proposition in southeast Santiago, Metropolitan Region, after incorporating a new 21,600-m2 space with brands in flagship formats and a powerful fashion mix.

In the area of acquisitions, the company completed the acquisition of Falabella Perú S.A.A., the company that controls 100% of Open Plaza Perú and 66.6% of Mallplaza in Peru, thus incorporating 619,000 m2 and reaching 2.3 million m2 of GLA in the Andean region.
