The function, which has already been integrated into the Copec application, will facilitate the visitor experience in the company’s urban centers throughout Chile.
Santiago, 2 May 2024.- With the aim of enhancing the experience of those who visit Mallplaza’s urban centers, the company announced a strategic partnership with Copec aimed at simplifying payment of parking through use of the Copec App.
The agreement allows the platform’s users to directly pay for parking services in 14 shopping centers throughout Chile, providing a faster and more efficient payment alternative and eliminating the handling of tickets, cash or cards, in addition to standing in lines.
Users must enter the “Digital Parking” module to enable this function. Once there, they must register the vehicle’s license plate number and a payment method, which can be any type of debit, credit or prepaid card, including Copec Pay. If the account is already associated with a card, there is no need to do anything else to make use of this payment feature in Mallplaza parking lots.

For his part, Mallplaza Strategy & Innovation Manager Christopher Banfield added that “at Mallplaza we always worry about our customers having a great experience every time they visit us. For this reason, we inaugurated a free-flow payment system without tickets or lines through our digital parking system, a service we are now enhancing through this strategic alliance with the Copec App. In this way, we are expanding the frictionless payment options for our customers and hope to have over 370,000 customers using this feature through the Copec App after the first year. We are very excited about this new strategic alliance with Copec and are convinced that it is the beginning of many joint opportunities for both groups to add value to customers.”
This payment option has been available since the end of April. The platform can be downloaded from the App Store using Apple devices and from Play Store in the case of devices that use the Android operating system. During the first months after this feature’s activation, users will be able to access discounts of between 20% and 100% off their parking fees, depending on the shopping center.
