Mallplaza and Mil Sabores Group close deal to open 21,300 M2 of new dining spaces between 2022 and 2025

  • The alliance includes the development of dining propositions that include formats that are totally new for Mallplaza’s 11 Urban Centers in Santiago and the country’s regions.

Santiago, 22 August 2022.– The opening of a new dining space in Mallplaza Vespucio will materialize the first project in the strategic alliance between the Mil Sabores Group, a well-known dining company that seeks to create new and different dining experiences that add a differentiation factor to customers, and Mallplaza, a shopping center chain with 17 locations in Santiago and regions.

“This alliance materializes the commitment of both companies to drive and promote the opening of new spaces dedicated to leisure and enjoyment, not just in Santiago but also in regions, where there is less on offer. Here we are combining Mallplaza’s experience as a leading chain in retailtainment propositions and the Mil Sabores Group, a dining company with exponential growth and one that is known for its innovative propositions and new dining concepts, adding a winning differentiating factor to our value proposition,” Mallplaza Chile Division Manager Pablo Pulido explained.

The agreement provides for the opening of 85 to 100 businesses between 2022 and 2025, equivalent to an area of 21,300 m2 in 11 Mallplaza urban centers, including 5 regional centers in the north and south of the country. All of this is in line with the company’s declared commitment to promoting more and more new spaces for socialization and encounter that are complementary to retail, where the dining, entertainment and culture experiences are very important.

“We are very pleased to continue consolidating through this alliance with Mallplaza, which we believe are the new centers of experience associated with dining, as we have been doing in the different dining hubs we currently have, which together with Mallplaza will allow us to reach the different cities in the south and north of the country, something that will become a reality with the first opening in the second half of 2023,” Andrés Belfus said.

The “Mercado del 14” in the new Mallplaza Vespucio will be the first project to materialize from the work between the two groups and will set a milestone in the category as an authentic and unique proposition in the country, with high-value dining brands that will make it a dining hub in the city. Its opening is planned for December 2022.

At the same time, work is being done on two new concepts, a “Beer Garden” also in the shopping center in La Florida, and an indoor dining district in Mallplaza Tobalaba.
