Mallplaza offers its shopping centers as vaccination points

The initiative has been developed together with municipalities and regional health authorities to provide ample, easily accessible and safe spaces to implement the Yo Me Vacuno campaign against COVID-19.

16 February 2021 – As part of our commitment to the neighbors and the communities we belong to, Mallplaza has made its shopping centers throughout Chile available to the health and municipal authorities for use as mass vaccination centers.

The process began at Mallplaza Iquique on 4 February with the conditioning of the underground parking to inoculate senior citizens directly in their vehicles. It subsequently added Mallplaza Egaña in the municipality of La Reina and Mallplaza Tobalaba in Puente Alto, both offering vaccination to the car and with pedestrian access. Meanwhile, the Casona San José was the place used in Mallplaza Arica to support the vaccination process.

Given their strategic location and connectivity within municipalities, Mallplaza’s urban centers have become an easily accessible alternative that allows municipalities to add to their network of vaccination points in an open, safe space that is known to the community.

At Mallplaza we have prepared for this process in different ways, and it is being carried out with all necessary biosafety initiatives.
