In an unprecedented alliance to promote the exchange of clothes and raise awareness of the positive impact that textile regeneration has on the planet. In addition, leading brands such as Falabella, Paris, Ripley, Privilege and Fashion’s Park, among others, have joined the initiative.
4 April 2025.- Mallplaza launched what will be a massive clothing exchange program in Mallplaza Egaña, with well-known figures related to the world of sustainable fashion in attendance.
Through a partnership with The Ropantic Show, the company launched “De Mano en Mano” (from hand to hand), a circular fashion program that invites people to renew their wardrobes sustainably and responsibly, prolonging the useful life of clothing and promoting conscious consumption.
This event, which began in Mallplaza Egaña, Chile’s first sustainable mall, is just the first step in a journey that will bring the circular fashion experience to various Mallplaza urban centers in the country so thousands of people who want to contribute to protecting the environment can do so without renouncing trends. The activity not only encourages textile reuse but also positions Mallplaza as a benchmark in promoting sustainable alternatives in the fashion industry.
“For over 15 years, we have been connecting people, communities and companies with the purpose of generating a positive impact on the cities where we have a presence, and this program is a clear example of our commitment. We are convinced that, with concrete actions like this one, we can contribute to the well-being of people and to caring for the planet, while at the same time promoting more responsible consumption among our visitors,” María Irene Soto, Communications and Sustainability Manager at Mallplaza, highlighted.
How and where? To participate, people must come with garments in good condition, which will be classified according to their materiality and other criteria. In return, they will receive a ticket with tokens that they can redeem for the clothes of other participants.
In addition to the used clothes that people bring, “De Mano en Mano” considers the exchange of clothes with leading brands that have made new garments available to swap, ensuring a greater variety for the exchange. The brands participating in this initiative include Fashion ‘s Park, Ash, IO, Holly Concept, 7veinte, Sioux, Ripley, Paris and Falabella.

Unlike other editions, this time leading brands have joined that will offer garments from the current season, which guarantees greater variety for the exchange. The participating brands include Fashion ‘s Park, Ash, IO, Holly Concept, 7veinte, Sioux, Falabella and Paris.
“We’re very happy to launch the ‘De Mano en Mano’ campaign together with Mallplaza, bringing sustainable culture and The Ropantic’s exchange-based consumer experience proposition, with talks and recycling workshops, so people can see that having a sustainable wardrobe is possible. Urban centers are places where people can meet and where you can plant the seed for a more sustainable consumption,” said María José Gomez, founder of The Ropantic Show.
It should be noted that the clothes exchanged are mainly women’s, which is why women’s and unisex garments will be accepted.
