Mallplaza and Instance form strategic partnership to strengthen e-commerce

The joint work by the two companies is a milestone in the Latin American e-commerce landscape and demonstrates the commitment to drive digital transformation, omnichannel operations and accelerate online companies’ growth in the region.

Brands will access the development of new capabilities, such as the creation, administration and performance of their stores, in addition to efficient centralized operation, integrated fulfillment, customer service tools, efficiencies in product availability and a set of technological solutions through a Seller Center.

Bogota, 9 January 2024.- Mallplaza – an urban center operator with 25 Plazas distributed in Chile, Peru and Colombia – and the e-commerce accelerator Instance reached an important agreement to work together in the development of comprehensive and integrated solutions that will provide the capacity for partners and brands that do not have a direct presence in Mallplaza, such as the Falabella and MercadoLibre e-commerce and Marketplace platforms, among others, to operate with state-of-the-art technology and efficient processes through an omnichannel ecosystem.

For stores that already operate online, the partnership between Instance and Mallplaza will provide a comprehensive solution for brands to develop their direct-to-consumer e-commerce and marketplace strategies through real-time knowledge of consumers and their transactions in sales channels. This will include, among other things, the development of new capabilities, such as the creation, administration and performance of their stores, in addition to efficient centralized operation, integrated fulfillment, customer service tools, efficiencies in product availability and a set of technological solutions through a Seller Center.

Meanwhile, for brands that do not operate online, these new solutions represent a great opportunity to begin a digital journey hand in hand with the main e-commerce accelerator and the Latin American leader in shopping centers.

The partnership is currently already cooperating with brands like L’Oreal, Hasbro, P&G and Mars, among others, and has over 500 square meters in the city of Bogota destined to the implementation of technology to automate the entire business.

Recent studies (Statista) have projected that e-commerce will undergo significant growth in the coming years, doubling by 2027 and reaching USD 200 billion in revenues by 2026, versus the USD 122 billion registered in 2022. Growth of +60% is anticipated for Colombia by 2027, while in Chile it is expected to be +72% and in Peru +78%. In this scenario, the two companies have joined forces to offer a complete solution that drives digital transformation and fosters growth in e-commerce.
