MALLPLAZA LAUNCHES “PLAZA EMPRENDE” PLATFORM TO SUPPORT COMMUNITY OF OVER 1,600 ENTREPRENEURS

Santiago, 19 August 2020 – Given the pandemic scenario and the economic crisis, this Wednesday Mallplaza offered a free digital session with diverse activities, which was attended by over 346 entrepreneurs. At the encounter the company sought to disseminate best practices and provide tools that are useful to their business, in addition to offering a space for creating networks and community among them.

The Plaza Emprende platform was launched during the session, a virtual platform to publicize the different enterprises. This Mallplaza initiative to support entrepreneurs in the digital context has over 800 entrepreneurs registered and almost 600 of them are already published on the website. In addition, this website will publish the next sales points available that entrepreneurs will be eligible for, in addition to accessing free online training and news on the topic. In addition, talks were on digital marketing and the use of platforms such as Facebook Business were given, in which three young entrepreneurs participated, making this encounter a space for dissemination, knowledge sharing and the creation of an entrepreneurial community.

For Mallplaza it has been a fundamental pillar in the development of long-term ties with its neighbors, creating value in the communities it belongs to. For this reason, last year it developed the Mallplaza Entrepreneurship Model, which considers a model of mutual benefits and value between the entrepreneur and the company through continuous training, the management of commercial spaces and the valuation of what entrepreneurs mean to the commercial offering.

The pandemic prompted the company to take up the challenge and it adapted by opening new digital spaces and generating instances like the Plaza Emprende virtual showcase, where over 800 entrepreneurs have registered; installing almost 160 points in its shopping centers for entrepreneurs offering essential products, and offered over 27 online training courses to provide digital tools enabling more than 1,500 entrepreneurs to enhance their social networks.
